Kevin J. Handly



Kevin J. Handly, Esq. is a practicing banking lawyer and litigator (www.bostonbankinglaw.com) based in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. He currently serves as director of Boston University Law School’s graduate programs in Taxation and in Banking & Financial Law, where he has taught law for over 20 years. Kevin also taught at the Lebanese American University in Beirut, Lebanon. As a partner, Kevin played a major role in establishing the corporate banking practices of several Boston law firms, including Goodwin, Nixon Peabody, Goulston & Storrs, and Pierce Atwood. Previously, as a Legal Division attorney, Kevin represented the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in regulatory and enforcement litigation in Federal courts and administrative proceedings. Kevin began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn, New York. Kevin is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center and School of Foreign Service, attended grade school in Ankara, Turkey, and is a graduate of the American Community School in Beirut, Lebanon. Kevin is a member of the New York and Massachusetts bars.

Fun Facts:
1. As an undergraduate at Georgetown, Kevin appears in a walk-on part in The Exorcist.
2. Kevin completed the Boston Marathon five times and the Marine Corps Marathon three times.
3. Kevin swam across the Bosphorus in 1967.
